Egypt tour

Here are some pictures I took with a polariod camera. There was no polaroid film for that camera available in Egypt (or at least where I was), so only had enough film for a few pictures. Below are some of the highlights of my trip into Egypt, which centered in the Sinai area along the banks of the dead sea.

I stayed mostly in this small beachside resort. Shown in this picture is one of the community huts. In the evening, people gather around a fire and play music.
While swimming in the red sea, I met this dude walking along the bank, we got to talking, and for 20 EP's a day, invited me to come along with them up into the mountains of the Sainai, near where Moses lived in the biblical times.
So we head off into the mountains on a long trek that took about 6 hours. Never being on a camel before, it was scarey at first, but the relaxing pace of the camel was quite pleasant. We took short breaks along the way. Most of the terrain was rocky and desert like and we arrived in the evening at a nice oasis.
The dude wearing the blue, was the only person who could speak English. The language of choice is Arabic. I was the first American they ever met. We has some interesting fireside discussions. This guy has met people from just about every other country.
The guy on the left has never been in a western country. But is very interested in western culture. Through my translator, he was interested in someday visiting the USA.
